The 2008 Alcan Winter Rally Adventure Package

The 24th Anniversary Alcan Rally will start Kirkland, WA and finish 4,500 miles later in Jasper, Alberta. The 11 day adventure ( 10 days of competition) will take contestants through the incredible scenery of British Columbia, The Yukon, The Northwest Territories, Alberta and even a little excursion into Alaska. The rally travels 250 miles north of the Arctic Circle to Tuktoyaktuk, driving on the McKenzie River, an ice highway.
When driving through the Yukon, Canada’s True North, the light changes, washing the already stunning landscape in a white glaze of astonishing beauty. The Aurora Borealis , often seen at this time of year, creates arches of pale green, pink and blue light that fade in and out, creating constantly changing patterns in the sky. Experience one of the last frontiers driving through and stopping at many towns made famous or infamous during the Klondike gold rush.
The Alcan Winter Rally is a driving adventure that requires skill, endurance and the heart of a pioneer.
This 4,500 mile endeavor will travel to some of the most remote and northern points of North America.

Dawson Creek, BC ( Milepost 1 of the Alaska Highway)
The Alcan adventure package includes several exclusive stops and activities for package participants including special photo ops at Laird Hot Springs (bring swim gear... or not!) and at the Arctic Circle.
Challenge Driving Events International offers a complete package for teams of three persons competing in the 2008 Alcan Winter Rally. This includes rally training with a rally computer and a practice rally held in the Phoenix area in January, 2008. Teams will be prepared to be competitive for class and overall awards.
